Our family started business in Central City in 1959 as The Famous Bonanza Gift Store. When gaming became legal, we became a casino in 1992. Our beautiful old building still contains many remnants of the mining era in Central City. We take pride in the fact that we have maintained the historic ambience of our building and have taken part in the important historic preservation of Central City. The Famous Bonanza provides the gaming experience Colorado voters intended when they voted for the historic preservation of the three mining towns by allowing gaming in 1991. We have over 220 of your favorite games, a friendly staff and we still pay you in real coin! That's right, REAL HANDPAYS!! Because we don't have the huge debt service many of the big box casinos have, we can offer the loosest slots in Colorado and we do!
